GLOBAL INNOVATION FROM ZABAG
CERTIFIED SHALLOW MOUNTED BOLLARD Z-HFFP 273

Street bollards represent an effective aid to thwarting vehicle-ramming terror attacks. Conventional bollards, however, have to be anchored very deep into the ground. ZABAG meanwhile, has come up with an alternative in the new, shallow-foundation bollard Z-HFFP 273.

The shallow mounted bollard has successfully passed the crash test at the test area of ZABAG‘s fixed and shallow mounted bollard Z-HFFP 273 successfully passed the crash test at the authorized Crash Test Service Center in Münster with a 12t truck and more than 80 km/h without any problem. This complies to a kinetic energy of 3.043 KJ and an equivalent static load of 1.522 KN. (certificate according to IWA14-1:2013 Bollard V/12000[N3D]/80/90/5.4)

This means the new bollard offers highly effective protection against terror attacks.

Maximum protection against vehicle-ramming attacks – minimal intervention in road construction
One particular advantage is the very shallow foundation required for the bollard – of only 300 mm , meaning interventions in the structure of the road remain minimal. The lower layers, which may also incorporate pipelines, remain untouched, while the concrete installation guarantees lasting impact resistance.

APPLICATION
This certified shallow mounted bollard is meant to protect people and visitors of crowded places in inner cities and event areas. With the Z-HFFP 273, organizations in charge of critical infrastructure or with specific security requirements – such as local authorities, airports or police premises – can install effective barriers that do not present an obstacle for pedestrians or cyclists and also offer a means of escape. The local conditions – i.e. supply circuits, sewage pipes or drains won`t collide with the shallow foundations, but the foundation will also ensure a long-lasting and secure access protection on one of the highest ever tested levels.

To allow access to authorized vehicles, police or emergency service, the system is combinable with the retractable bollards out of our range.
